Tandoori Manchurian

I know the name sounds crazy, but it tastes crazy good! I combined the tandoori chicken and Manchurian, to make this awesome appetizer.

What I used: Serves 6 to 8
For the tandoori chicken:
2lb/1kg boneless chicken breast cut up into chunks
½ cup thick yogurt
2 tsp red chili powder
Pinch of turmeric
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
Juice of ½ a lime
For the Manchurian:
1 tsp chili garlic sauce
1 tsp chili powder
1 cup onion cut into chunks
1 cup colored pepper cut into chunks
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp vinegar
½ tsp brown sugar
3-4 tsp oil to sauté

Marinate the chicken cubes with all the above mentioned ingredients. Refrigerate for an hour or two. Place them on a greased bake sheet and broil on 450 degree F for 30 minutes.

When the tandoori is done, get a wok or large saucepan nice and hot, on medium-high heat. Add the oil and toss in the chopped onion and diced pepper. After a minute, add in the chicken pieces into the wok and turn for about 2 minutes.

Add in the powders and sauté for a couple of minutes. Finally, add in the chili garlic sauce, vinegar and soy sauce. Taste it to see how it has turned out, add salt if needed. Serve this hot and spicy dish as a party platter on a cold winter evening. Enjoy!
