Sesame-lemon Braised pork chops and Spaghetti

Who says good food cannot be made fast? This lunch can be made in less than 20 minutes. You can substitute the pork with any meat, or crab, shrimp, even paneer.

What I used: Serves 4 – 6
2 boneless pork chops at room temperature
Salt and pepper to taste
1 box of thin spaghetti
1 tsp sesame seeds
Juice of 1 lime/lemon
½ cup of scallions/green onions
¼ cup freshly chopped cilantro
½ tsp chili flakes
½ tsp of butter
2 tsp olive oil
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Cook spaghetti according to directions on the box, or bring a large pot of salted water to a good boil, feed in the spaghetti and cook for 7-9 minutes until it is soft and stops sticking.

Massage salt, pepper and lemon juice into the pork slice and set aside for 5 minutes.

Using a small saucepan on medium-high, add a thin slice of butter, as it melts, add in the marinated pork chop and braise it for 4 minutes on each side. It should have thoroughly browned on the outside, and pink in the middle. Cut in into thin slices, and put it back in the same saucepan.

Sprinkle the green onion, sesame, red chili flakes and cook for a few minutes.

Drain the pasta, return it to the pan and toss in the pork mixture, the last tablespoon of oil and the cilantro. Gently toss all of it and serve hot. Enjoy!
