Avocado Dip recipe



What do you do when all the avocados are ripe at once? You make dip and store it :-)

 There are many variations to the avocado dip, here is my version. 

Ingredients: 

  • 5 ripe avocados
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil


How to Make Avocado Dip:

  • Mash the avocados: Scoop the flesh of ripe avocados into a bowl and mash with a fork,  potato masher or a food processor to your desired consistency.
  • Stir in lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix and serve: Mix everything well and adjust seasoning to taste. Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil. Serve immediately or chill before serving.

Tips:
  • Prevent browning: To prevent browning, cover the dip with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to minimize contact with air. Adding extra lime or lemon juice can also help.
  • Consistency: The consistency can range from chunky to smooth, depending on how much you mash the avocados.
  • Serving suggestions: Serve avocado dip with toast, crackers, egg, tortilla chips, raw vegetables, crackers, or as a spread on sandwiches or wraps. Enjoy!
