Vanilla cake recipe so easy, your kids can bake it! Mix your wet ingredients, dry ingredients, combine, pour into pans and bake!
Makes 2-8 inch cakes
2-1/4 cups AP flour/maida
2 cups sugar, finely powdered
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs, at room temperature
3/4 cup oil
1-1/2 cups warm milk
1 tsp clear vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 170 C/350 F
In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients, combine well. Set aside.
In another bowl, add the wet ingredients,whisk well by hand or a mixer.
Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and combine well to get rid of lumps.
Grease 2-8 inch pans with butter, then a few teaspoons of flour. Once the pans are ready, divide the batter equally and tap them gently to get rid of air bubbles.
Bake them for 35 minutes or until the edges start to leave the sides of the pan, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
trace the edges of the cake with a knife to release it from the pan, gently flip it on to a plate and flip it up back again. You may frost it or devour as is. Enjoy!
PS: We chomped down one cake while it was warm and frosted the other one with the colors of the sea.
