Ribbon egg fried rice recipe


This is what into my kids lunch box today. Fried rice tastes best with day old rice. I feel it is dry enough to soak in the flavors better. I made this with fresh cooked rice today.


Use diced vegetables like carrots, beans and peppers. Saute them well with oil, and a few grated ginger strands.

Once the veggies are half cooked and crunchy, add salt and pepper; Saute.
Add in the cold, cooked rice. Combine well while adding a tsp of dark soy sauce, ketchup, or spicy chili garlic sauce.


Cook an omelette in a separate pan. Roll and cut into thin ribbons. Throw them into the fried rice and serve hot. Enjoy!
