Cooking with kids: Sweet poha/avalakki

Serves 4
1 cup poha/dry avalakki
1 ripe banana, sliced
2 tsp powdered sugar
Water to rinse and soak poha

In a bowl, add poha. Pour enough water to cleanse, rinse and drain.

To the clean, drained poha, add water, just enough to immerse the poha. Let it stand for 15 minutes. this will give it enough time to soak and become soft.

Fluff the poha with a fork.

In a bowl, add the soft poha; pour in bananas, raisins and sugar. Mix well, mushing the bananas slightly. Transfer into cups and devour!
