Cheerio cashew bars

Here are easy snacks you can make for kids and adults alike. My kids and husband carry them during weekdays.

What you need: Makes about 12 squares
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup honey
3 cups cheerios cereal
1 cup oats
1 cup cashew halves
1 cup raisins

Spray an 8 x 8 inch square pan with non stick cooking oil or line it with parchment paper.

In a large pan on low heat, combine peanut butter and honey. Stir until well combined and the mixture bubbles. Turn off the heat.

Stir in cereal, oats, cashews and raisins. Mix them all together until uniformly  coated. Pour the mixture into the pan. Press down firmly. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to an hour. Cut into squares or bars. Store them in layers between parchment paper. They stay fresh for about 10 days.
