What you need: Makes 6 cups of granola
4 cups rolled oats
2 cup whole almonds
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Pulse the whole almonds in a processor until they are slightly crumbled yet chunky. Set aside.
In a cup, combine honey, oil, salt and cinnamon.
In a large bowl, combine the oats and almonds together. Pour the honey mixture and stir to combine.
Pour the mixture onto baking sheets and bake for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes to achieve an even color.
Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Sprinkle more cinnamon if you prefer and stir. Loosen the crumbs with a spatula. Store in glass or metal containers for optimum freshness.
Add a dash or brown sugar when serving, if you prefer. You can eat them as is, or with milk, cold or hot. Have it for breakfast, brunch, snack or even a healthy dessert. Enjoy!
