I have to admit, this was the quickest cake I made. We got back from our week long vacation right on the day of my son's birthday. Now how could he not have a little party? He invited his neighbor friends over and I was exhausted, had a ton of laundry and running out of options for a cake.
I baked a rectangular chocolate cake. Set it out to cool down, ran to the nearest store and picked up candy. Isn't it early to be having Halloween candy in the stores already? anyway, it was a blessing for me.
I carved out the cake to look like an overturned skateboard, slapped on vanilla butter cream, and decorated it with candy. There you have it, a skateboard cake! Enjoy!
