My son is a big fan of Woody the Sheriff cowboy in Toy story. We were originally destined to have his party in a pony farm. Withe rainy Washington, and the farm being slushy and muddy, we resorted to having a last minute change in venue. An indoor birthday at Chuck-e-cheese.
I made him this mini 3 tiered cake that served 35 people. For the kids I made 24 cupcakes in red and white, with cowboy topper toothpicks on it.
The party favor bag was a reusable cloth bag with his name embroidered on each of them. Every child got their own cowboy hat, a colorful bandana wrap, a sheriff badge, a personal cupcake take home in a bandana colored box, a mini box with cowboy candies. A toy story coloring book and some more party goodies completed the theme. It took me over a month to plan, organize and buy all the stuff.
My older son was a charm. He was a great help with making the cakes, being critical to details, making me redo woody's shoes, nose and eyes twice. And after all that, he still dint give his OK on Woody. Mom, the face is too wide, the eyes are squint, we forgot Woody's belt, and it went on and on. I hate how is becoming a perfectionist.. or a born Virgo shall I call him?
Our birthday boy Woody was all excited to stand next to his mini Woody cake topper, he just loved it!
The kids had a blast. And I thoroughly enjoyed putting it all together for him, its all worth it.. you wont know how fast time flies by.. like sand through your fingers. Its like yesterday I was at the hospital giving birth to this little miracle and he is already 4. may god bestow his love on him. Love you baby...
