Horsegram sprouts!

My BFF started this conversation on our group. She was suggesting recipes to try with horse gram. It got me thinking, my mom makes so many dishes with them, why dint I write about it? So here goes bestie :-)

Horse gram is the most protein-rich lentil found on the planet. It is very high-powered. It is high in iron, calcium, and protein. In fact, horse gram has the highest calcium content among pulses and is one of the richest vegetarian sources of protein. It is low in fat and high in carbohydrate content, low in lipid and sodium content, and its slow digestible starch make ideal for diabetic and obesity patients.

You soak these seeds in warm water for 24 hours, and tie it in a damp muslin cloth, and keep it in a cool place for the next 24 hours, to get beautiful little sprouts. You can use these fresh in salads, stir fries or curries. You may grind them and make crepes, or powder the dry seeds and use it in porridge.

I will be posting a few recipes with these soon, enjoy!
