Lettuce turkey wrap

Crunchy, delicious and healthy wrap, great as a light dinner, lunch or starter. Vegetarians can substitute meat with tofu or paneer crumbs.

What you need: serves 4
6 whole lettuce leaves, washed and dried
1 lb ground turkey, lean
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1 cup red onions diced
1 cup carrot, grated
1 cup peas, fresh or frozen
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp fresh lime juice
1 Tsp salt


Heat oil in a  saute pan, Add the ground meat and fry until brown; add ginger, garlic and saute another 30 seconds.  Add in the onions, carrot and peas. Stir to combine.


Add pepper, chilli and cumin powder. Sprinkle salt as needed. Saute another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat and add lime juice. Stir to combine. Serve a scoop in the lettuce leaves and enjoy!
