Cream and honey french toast topped with strawberries

To taste the true flavor of this toast, don't skimp on the ingredients.

What you need: Makes 8 toasts
2 cups of whipping cream
1 cup cold milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup
2 eggs at room temperature
2 tablespoons honey
Pinch of cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
8 slices of day-old whole wheat bread. Thick slices yield great results.
1 stick of butter
To serve:
A few fresh strawberries, diced.
A Tbsp of confectioners sugar
Your favorite pancake syrup

Whisk the eggs, vanilla, cream, milk, honey, cinnamon and salt together. Heat a skillet. I use two skillets side by side, so I can make two at a time and serve them all together.

Add a thick slice of butter into the hot skillet. As soon as it melt and foams, dip the bread in the egg mixture and place it on the bubbling melted butter. Let it cook on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until it is golden brown. Flip it and let it cook the same way on the other side.

Repeat the same with all the slices. Lay the slices on a serving plate, top it with strawberries, and pancake syrup. Dust it with confectioners sugar and serve warm. Enjoy!
