Sihi Avalakki / Sweet beaten rice pudding

This is my all time favorite dish. It requires no cooking whatsoever. For people with a sweet tooth, and you have run out of ideas, may I present, our Sihi Avalakki! This is nothing but de-husked beaten flat rice. They are the quick and easy version of rice to work with.

What I used: Serves 4
2 cups thick Avalakki/Poha/Beaten rice
¼ cup raisins
1 whole banana
½ cup white sugar (Vegans, substitute this ingredient with brown sugar)

Place the Avalakki in a bowl and pour plenty of water, Wash it well and drain the water. Don’t rinse the water out thoroughly. Cover the bowl and let stand for 15 minutes. This will soften it. Slice the banana into rings of desired thickness.
Now mix all the ingredients together, and set aside covered for 5-10 minutes. Go ahead and eat away. Enjoy!
